Mac vs windows quicken 20191/8/2023 ![]() ![]() In short, Banktivity encrypts your data on your local device and the data stored on IGG's servers is not readable by any IGG employees. People really should look into what they're actually doing when using these kinds of apps and learn there's a huge price they're paying. I’m trying to find an app that doesn’t require handing over everything including the means to take it all away. Do people not realize using these services means putting the login ID, password and account number of every account they setup in these apps on some third party server outside of their control? Plus all of those credentials are probably stored in the files on Quicken’s and Banktivity’s servers. Banktivity doesn’t make it clear either, but it is most likely Yodlee. Probably still Intuit’s since they almost certainly didn’t get that from the separation from Intuit. Quicken isn’t even clear about which data aggregation service they use. People probably are not even aware they’re doing it. The crazy thing is people are using these apps to download information indirectly through third party data aggregation services. Their privacy policies indicate they data mine when doing that and when downloading transactions. Who in their right mind would use Quicken or Banktivity? They both require you to upload your data outside of your control just to use access your data on multiple devices.
